Visual Power is a lively session designed for trainers, facilitators, presenters and anyone who wants to implement visual language. Participants learn to communicate ideas quickly with simple and powerful graphics. Students practice how to listen to key concepts, translate ideas into icons, draw spontaneous sketches to illustrate metaphors and organize dialogue into information maps. Customized images add impact to trainings and presentations. Participants learn techniques to promote group interaction and anchor data in visual maps. Learning this basic vocabulary of visual language establishes confidence and skills. Content is linked to immediate application as students create industry specific icons and visual tools to illustrate work processes.
Visual Language in Action is a high energy two-day session focused on utilizing graphic language skills to effectively facilitate group processes. This module builds strategies to make communication architecture visible. Participants learn how to map dialogue in meetings, team processes, strategy and visioning sessions. The highly interactive course has practice and feedback sessions to promote immediate integration. Learnings include: working with templates, designing tools for visual processes, fluency using infomaps for content driven meeting facilitation.
Applied Visual Language integrates visual language skills with specific content. These customized training sessions include conference presentations and unique delivery options. In our consulting process, we define goals and synthesize elements of visual language skills most relevant to the groups' usage. Sample topics include: graphics for course development/delivery; sales presentations, conflict resolution and visual instruments linked to organizational initiatives. Our sessions are lively and participatory designed to make graphic language immediately accessible. This module may be used for specific applications of visual language such as translation of highly technical material, documentation of projects, identification of strategies, clarification of vision, mission and values. Options include laboratory sessions to design visual tools which enhance memorability and effectiveness in course content and delivery methodology. |
